Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you use turiya-sutra.in, operated by Pranay Pathak. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version. There are no accounts and no login. We do not ask for your name, your birth details, or your email in order to use the map. We run no advertising and no third-party analytics. Anything you enter — including your graha placements for “Your Thread” — is stored on your own device and is never transmitted to us.

1. Information you give us

None is required to use the Site. If you email us, we hold that correspondence in order to reply. If you buy Premium, Razorpay collects what it needs to take the payment (see §4).

2. Information stored on your device

The Site uses your browser’s local storage — not cookies, and not for tracking — to remember:

whether Premium has been unlocked on this device;
the graha/sign placements you enter for “Your Thread”, if you choose to enter them.

This data stays in your browser. It is not sent to us, and we cannot read it. You can erase it at any time by clearing site data in your browser, or by using Forget in the Your Thread panel.

If you arrive from a chart link containing placements in the address (for example ?me=su-le…), those placements are read by your own browser to draw your thread. They are not logged by us.

3. Information collected automatically

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request data to serve pages and protect against abuse. We use this only in aggregate, for security and to know roughly how much the Site is used.

4. Third parties

Razorpay: Processes payments. It collects the payment information it requires. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Razorpay’s own privacy policy governs that data.
Google Fonts: Typefaces are served from Google’s font servers, so your browser’s request — including your IP address — reaches Google.
cdnjs / jsDelivr: The optional 3D view loads its graphics engine from these public code networks, and only if you open the 3D view. The same applies: your browser’s request reaches them.

5. What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade information about you.
We do not run advertising or advertising trackers.
We do not build profiles, and we do not use your birth details for anything — we never receive them.

6. Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. Since we hold almost nothing, this is usually limited to email correspondence and payment records we are required to keep. Write to pranay.pathak@gmail.com.

7. Retention

Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to deal with your query. Transaction records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

If the Site ever gains accounts, server-side verification or analytics, this policy will be updated before that happens, with a revised date above.
